Latin for life
Vita Group is a publicly listed (ASX:VTG) Australian retailer with more than 25 years of expertise in consulting with customers and providing products and services that add value to their way of life.
Vita operates in two key industries:
Information and communication technology – where we own and operate more than 100 Telstra retail stores and Telstra Business Technology Centres, as well as our own Sprout accessories brand, which is stocked in more than 300 retail locations Australia wide.
Skin health and wellness – where we own and operate a growing network of aesthetic clinics through our own premium medical aesthetics brand, Artisan Aesthetic Clinics, and our network of non-branded aesthetic clinics.
We are a truly national organisation with more than 120 points of presence, 1,600 team members and revenues of $773.1 million (as at 30 June 2020).
Vita Group’s story began in 1995 when founder and Chief Executive Officer, Maxine Horne disrupted the telecommunications industry by opening Australia’s first shopping centre mobile phone store, Fone Zone.
One of Telstra’s first licensed dealers, Fone Zone was founded with the knowledge that customers wanted the best possible products and services, combined with an unbeatable in-store experience. It was here that our focus on adding value began.
Through delivering this unbeatable customer-focused experience, we achieved success right from the outset, and expanded to more than 100 stores Australia-wide by our public listing in 2005.
By 2008, we operated 164 Fone Zone stores before re-inventing ourselves under our new brand, Vita Group, and in 2009, we signed an exclusive Master License Dealer Agreement with Telstra, which became the launch pad for our transition into owning and operating more than 100 Telstra retail stores. At this time, our focus evolved from being a telecommunications provider towards a provider of holistic information and communication technology solutions.
From 2009 to 2015, we continued our journey of growth and transformation through the acquisition and launch of several businesses and brands, including our own technology accessories brands, Sprout.
In late 2017, with an established and successful business in place and 22 years of experience under out belt, the timing was right to diversify into new categories. Vita entered the growing and attractive skin-health and wellness industry with the acquisition of Clear Complexions, a medical-grade skin health business with six clinics across Sydney and Canberra.
2018 saw us take the next step in our expansion of our skin-health and wellness portfolio with the launch of our own brand, Artisan Aesthetic Clinics. With a clear mission to educate and inform Australians on what’s aesthetically possible, we opened our first clinic, Artisan Racecourse Road in Brisbane in late 2018. By early 2020, our network had grown to nearly 20 Artisan branded and non-branded clinics across the eastern seaboard of Australia. Led by a highly-qualified and skilled team of experts, we have helped, and continue to help, hundreds and thousands of clients to manage the ageing process and look and feel their confident best through results driven treatments and technologies.
With more than 25 years of experience, today Vita Group is proud of both our humble beginnings and our great successes. Throughout our journey, our focus on team members and our customers has remained at the heart of everything we stand for.
Face Today Mediclinic rebrands to Artisan Aesthetic Clinic Cairns
Cairns cosmetic clinic, Face Today Mediclinic has rebranded to Artisan Aesthetic Clinic Cairns as it continues its mission to help residents look and feel their confident best through state-of-the-art treatments administered by industry leading clinicians.
The rebrand comes two years after founder of Face Today and experienced registered nurse, Nicki Belle sold the clinic to premium medical aesthetics brand, Artisan Aesthetic Clinics in order to expand its unique service offering within the Far North Queensland community.
“This is the next exciting step in our journey with Artisan that started when we joined the brand two years ago,” said Ms Belle. “We’ll still be in the same location with the same faces you know and love– it will just be under a brand new look and feel with more treating rooms and more talented clinicians joining out teams.”
Since joining Artisan, Face Today has gone from strength to strength, expanding its treatment offering to include PDO threads, Clear+Brilliant, medical-grade facials and body contouring thanks to Artisan’s ongoing investment in the latest machinery and clinician training.
“Artisan has brought many benefits to Face Today and changed my working life for the better,” said Ms Belle. “I feel so supported in my practice and am able to stretch myself professionally.”
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Artisan, Maxine Horne said she looks forward to introducing Face Today clients and the wider Cairns community to Artisan’s premium offering.
“We’re excited to launch Artisan Cairns and introduce clients to the unique experience we provide,” she said. “From our bespoke clinics and state-of-the-art treatments through to our highly-skilled clinicians who are experts at tailoring a combination of treatments and therapies to suit each individual’s goals, we can’t wait to help more clients master their artistry.”

Sprout reaches its goal of planting 10,000 trees for One Tree Planted
Vita Group couldn’t be more proud of its technology accessories brand Sprout, who have reached their goal of planting 10,000 trees for environmental not-for-profit One Tree Planted.
Since the end of March, Sprout has been funding the planting of 10 trees for every product sold online to help reforestation efforts following the devastating 2019/2020 Australian bushfires. According to One Tree Planted, young, healthy forests can help to prevent bushfires from spreading catastrophically by suppressing future fires and reducing the impact of smoke on public health and native ecosystems.
Sprout’s campaign has also supported One Tree Planted to conserve Australia’s unique wildlife and limit global warming, with a mature forest of 10,000 trees sequestering as much as 240 tonnes of carbon dioxide to provide for a cleaner, healthier climate.
“One Tree Planted wouldn’t be able to do the work that we do without our amazing donors,” said Cassandra Vitiello, Greenhouse Manager at One Tree Planted. “Thanks to companies like Sprout, who have contributed 10,000 trees to our project in Australia, which will help with climate change mitigation, create lasting community impact, rebuild habitat for wildlife, and so much more.”
General Manager at Sprout, Ben Caddy said he was thrilled to see Sprout reach its goal of funding the planting of 10,000 trees for One Tree Planted and looks forward to continuing to work with the organisation to create a more sustainable future.
“We love the work that One Tree Planted does and are really proud to have played a small role in helping them to rebuild following Australia’s recent bushfires,” he said. “Thank you to all our customers who supported Sprout and One Tree Planted throughout this campaign and helped us achieve our 10,000 trees target.”
This partnership forms just one pillar of Sprout’s commitment to sustainable business practices. The brand has a ten-year sustainability action plan underpinning its commitment to sustainability and creating technology that enhances its customers’ worlds, not just today, but into the future.
“Reducing our carbon impact is a major focus for Sprout,” said Mr Caddy. “We are constantly measuring and tracking our results to ensure that we are always improving and meeting our environmental objectives.”
Sprout will continue to work with One Tree Planted when it launches its new range of biodegradable phone cases in August, with the brand planting one tree for every case sold in-store or online.
